Way to go and be a putz. I didnt mean all people are pricks and bastards for using it...I just think its used too easily, too often.

Blacklisting is good...in SOME cases, to stop a constant barrage of insults or whatever. BUT in many cases...its simply used to stop someone from defending themselves. Sabrina herself used it on me...she read a thread of mine where we got into a heated argument. She realized it wasnt going anywhere so she decided so start her own thread on the same subject...use all of my own words and attack me on that; and then blacklisted me from commenting on it. Thats my main beef with it. Using it so you can have a hay day and giggle with your groupies as you openly attack someone while not giving them a chance to reply is silly.

Many times on a thread...there can be a heated argument and then someone is miraculousy blacklisted. What happens afterwards later on that reply string is a barrage of attacks against that person for their comments and views.

I have disagreements with people all the time, on here and in real life...I just ignore them if they start acting up. For example...when I see Little Whip and in one of her comments she says my name...I usually just ignore it because it has no value or worth to me, because knowing her, its condescending in some aspect...nothing constructive whatsoever.

If you're talking to me, I didn't blacklist you, I disabled comments on the whole article. It was turning into a "let's psychoanalyze Marcie" fest when the whole point was just that I think that the general mood at JU lately has been crappy.


Yes, you're right, Marcie. You've been so nice and kind to us and the rest of us have just picked on you. Poor, poor Marcie, the perpetual victim.

I understand there's a good career to be made out of perpetual victimhood. Perhaps you should start a franchise.

Meh....blacklisting tells alot about people. Im blacklisted at at least two threads.....one of whom I cant even figure out why Im on his list...but oh well.

I have yet to blacklist anyone. Its free speech and they are entitled to their opinion, however dumb it might be. Not saying Im right, but many people just get all whacko for no reason and go off...then I just keep them around for entertainment purposes just to see them get annoyed. It has worked incredibly well for one person in particular, who has it seems taken a break from commenting and getting in a tizzy....I miss the spazzyness.

Ive even been blacklisted so that I was denied the ability to comment on a thread that someone made that totally went off on me...while the writer and their surrounding groupies all giggled and swarmed in the corner with reply after reply.


Right...Ziggy the God speaks, so I must change my ways. Thank you for enlightening me, ziggy...NOT!

I made a statement that was in capitals once. My intention wasn't to be rude but to be heard. I wasn't given a chance to rectify myself. I was quickly silenced and blacklisted. Now you are unnecessarily being rude. If you feel threatend by another persons views that shows that you are insecure in your own beliefs.

If you have a response that is worthwhile and productive then i'm all ears

Wacky JU "points" are more important to you than communicating your good ideas, and seeing justice done?

That is totally the mature and thoughtful attitude that gets your comments blacklisted, I'm sure. Only... not so much.

If you were serious, this would be an article reviewing the blacklister's points, and your rebuttal, here on your own blog, so that we could all learn from their error and your correction.

Instead, I fear the worst is true: You behaved like a complete asshat, and were rightly blacklisted for your troubles.

Hey, I have no life, so I did take the time to find that article. It was in response to your bigoted and coldhearted remarks about the disabled, and you commented on it no less than NINE times, each comment a multi-paragraph diatribe about all sorts of unrelated boolsheet, including a very interesting description of your own vague health problems.


And yet, you still have this belief that Im against disabled people. I could have told you where your idea for your thread came from...Ive said it many times before...the whole thing came up because I made one side comment in a flippin reply. From there, you went off and totally stereotyped me with a hatred and disdain for disabled people (which you still do to this day), no matter many writings to show otherwise. And then...even more so went off on me when I implied that there are some people who are labled disabled, but can still actually do something outside of nothing.

( I posted an article recently about how to read comments on closed threads, check it out to see how.)Her remarks were kind, accurate, and right on the money. The thread in question was Marcies latest "Ju doesnt treat me right" whine. I think it was called "disenchanted with you" or some melodramatic crud like that.

I don't play the victim I call it how I see it and I must admit I seen it wrong. I left statements on two different articles and I foolishly didn't notice that they both belonged to you. I also take back what I said about you being insecure in your beliefs because one of the bloggs i sent my statement to still has my statement on it.

Could be. I'm just having a hard time finding much difference between frivolous blacklisting and frivolous articles accusing others of frivolous blacklisting.

I mean, if this is a serious article, then let's have some serious support for your accusations. Make your good point here, where the blacklister can't control the debate.

And if it's a frivolous article, then hey look: Frivolous blacklisting slapfight! Whoohoo.

And it's not like I'm going to read an article and think to myself "LW has probably checked this out and approved of it, so I can safely assume the article is correct and good".

I was one of the first commenters on this article, and I asked--please--for a link to the comment in question, so that I could judge for myself the truth of the accusations being made. My request was met with a childish "haha JU pointswhore" response. This more than anything else fueled my fears.

After I voiced those fears, finally LW steps in to defend the article author's claims. Why the article author couldn't defend their own claims themselves, I don't know.

And seriously, all you had to say was "I was commenting on one of Marcie's articles".

Although that does raise the painful question: "why are we even getting worked up over Marcie Helen-related drama"?

I hate to do that, because I don't like it when others shut down a thread. I'll just respectfully request that the language be kept civil (and clean, if we can handle that) and that if the war is going to continue, it be taken to another thread. My intent was not to begin some battle (which is why I didn't mention WHO I thought had blacklisted me to begin with), it was merely meant to be an expression of my frustration at that method of dealing with people you don't particularly agree with. Next time I believe I'll just sit on my thoughts instead. Much easier.

I did not know that, but yes you are right in that regard. However, that is HC's style. She is about as controversial as Automatic transmission. I think the shunning hurt her, and like me, when someone shuns (BLs) me, I do not name names, or acknowledge them.

Guess that is my way of BLing them. Ignoring them is worse, cause they can still comment on mine (and the offender did here), even if I refuse to read theirs.

Dont worry about that! That war has been going on for about 6 months now, and it goes from blog to blog to blog! But I think some of the principals will respect your wishes and not keep doing it here. Most are a very honorable lot, even if some can be knotheads!
