Desktop X themes not loading

My themes are all disappearing. one by one.I 've spent countless time building themes and objects. I get one just the way i want it and then......Warning,Theme loading failed,Image file not found. I have object desktop and this always happens after saving a theme in DesktopX.In the past week alone 8 themes will no longer load. Has anyone else had this problem? Any know way of fixing this? I've been using object desktop for about 3 months now and this just started about 2 weeks ago. Till now,i've been able to work out all my problems but this ones got me.Please Help, i'm running out of themes.

Maybe some of your files got corrupted. I defrag my system regularly. There are many viruses and bugs going around too. If your files get badly fragmented this could cause that sort of problem. I would run Spybot Search and Destroy. It's a free program. If you have spyware, that could reduce your memory and your system to a crawl. Then, I would run a full virus scan. Then, I would uninstall DesktopX. Then, I would check the hard drive for errors and defrag it. Then, I would reinstall DesktopX. If everything went foul two weeks ago, it could be a virus. Or, spyware, or just a badly maintained hard drive. I defrag mine on a daily basis. It is time consuming but it is worth the hassle. Good Luck.

You might also try to give the modified theme a new name. That way the original one will stay intact.

My system is a home built system, tyan thunder k7 duel AMD board with 1500mp processors, 1gig ram, wildcat 6110 208 meg graphics card, two 120gig hard drives, running windows 2000 pro service pack 3,networked to a puter with abit bx133 board,384 megs ram ,1.2gig celeron processor,elsa gloria DCC graphics card,4 60gig hard drives, running windows xp pro. ChasUGC, I hope this information is helpfull. sorry I didnt think to list it before. I do defrag reg. tho. just once a week. No problems with any other program or files I have. I have also tried to save the theme with diferent names but has no effect. If I open an original it dissapears too. I had about 27 working themes. Now only 4 will open.Buy next week I will have none that work if I don't figure this out. As far as a virus i've scanned and found none.What ever this is it seems to only effect DX Themes.It has happened on the XP machine also but not near as often.lost only 3 themes on the xp. I havent tried uninstalling DX yet but I will and see if that has any effect. That machine never goes on line but i will check for spyware anyway.
