I've heard this phrase before but never bothered to find out what it meant. Today I heard it again while listening to Bill O'Reily's audio book "A Bold Fresh Piece Of Humanity" (not much of a reader so audio books are coming in handy for these days). Does anyone know what the following phrase means?
"Your mother wears combat boots!"
Thanks in advance.
It's derogatory to ones mother, meaning she is rough or man-like.
Edit is not working.
Also, it is often untrue, and said to egg-on or pi** off a person, usually male, that may hold their mother in high regard, as is usually the case with children and some adults.
I figured as much but wanted to be sure. One of those things I was ignorant to that I wanted to make sure I understood correctly. Thought it may have been something a bit more insulting like calling her a whore or something.
Well I guess it could be taken as badly depending on the sensibilities of the recipient. Unfortunately many kids these days wouldn't have a problem using the example you gave above or worse.
