I didn't see the French complaining about woman and children being killed when they were making money off Saddam. If it were up to the French, Saddam would still be torturing and kill the same people, but at least they would be getting paid.

Oil is only "black gold" on the Beverly Hillbillies.  In the real world, it's a very low profit, low margin commodity.  For kicks, you should educate yourself a little and find out just how much the world oil market is.  I think you'd be surprised that it's not all that large.  Certainly no where near enough to justify the expense of invasion or rebuilding of Iraq.

As usual you are completely wrong. Talk to soldiers that will tell you how many Iraqis appreciate what was done, and how they are still being thanked today.

I agree you cannot predict everything that will happen in war. However almost everything that was predicted about this war was incorrect. The reason we went to war, the reception we received, the duration and the amount of money and lives in has cost. If the American people had known what the cost and consequences of this war would have been, Congress nor the American people would never have approved this invasion in which as many Iraqis have died as Saddam Hussein killed. I am sure there are people who are glad he is gone but they are not pleased we occupy Iraq. we have created more enemies in the Muslim world by our invading Iraq than almost anything else we could have done.
