Twas the dawn before death. All knew tomorrows light, we would not see. Preparations had been made; defenses constructed. This was our day. It belonged to no other. For we The Travilers were a proud people. No mater how fiercely or ferociously the evil Polluxo were to smite their venomous wrath upon us, we were determined to vanquish these horrors back to the nether world from winst they came. The mighty Traviler Empire had once ruled more then half the known galaxy. We ruled with honesty, dignity, and an over all sense of style. We were fare and respectful, always taking the moral high ground. But then, for no apparent reason what so ever, our two stellar neighbors collaborated together, each viciously attacking our peaceful civilization. Our wise and benevolent leaders were as brilliant and brave as they were honest and dignified (which by the way was a lot). Knowing this day would come, they had wisely invested in many a shiny warship. What they had foolishly failed to consider, though, was the ruthless intensity of the merciless onslaught that came from the money grubbing pirate hoards. The shear tenacity with which these greedy mongrels pillaged our empire came as a complete and utter shock to every man woman and child that witnessed their barbaric ways. They roamed the night like thilthy credit thirsty vampires feeding on us from the inside out. Our forces were strong. But not strong enough to face both battle fronts while still protecting our homes and families. The decision was made to fall back. And then to fall back again… and again. Until finally, we were left with but two solitary worlds.
We knew the evil Polluxo were still coming for us. They had chased us back again and again, laughing, watching as our forces were gutted from the constant pirate attacks. We tried retaking key worlds and asteroids, only to loose even more precious ships as the pirates seemed to sniff out weakness in the midst of already raging battles. These cunning mongrels were cunning. And for whatever reason our money didn’t make them go mad credit thirsty crazy the way Polluxo money did... no mater how much we threw to them...
There was little we could do now but defend our home planet, Adachi, for the inevitable invasion to come. We built hanger after hanger, defended by magnificently shiny Gauss Guns. All protected by two towering repair bays. In all over 150 fighter and bomber pilots would take to the skis to defend their homes. A brand new fleet was assembled from what limited recourses we had left. We even managed to scrape together enough for one last Kol class Battle Dreadnought. The Polluxo would take no prisoners, and leave no survivors. They would pound our home rock back to the rock from winst it came. Not a home, mother, or child would see another dawn if we didn’t stop Polluxo here... HERE AND NO FURTHER would they come!!
Then… it was morning. The dawn before death. We fight for our families, we fight for our homes. We fight for every shred of decency left to be decent. For ever bit of kindness left to be kindness-ed-id.
Then... the word came... "The Polluxo are coming, the Polluxo are coming!!"
And they did come, proudly pronouncing BLAM BLAM POW!!! (wich apparently is a curd Polluxolian mating cry, used out of frustration with ones own lack of stamina. Why the Polluxolians would chose to shout such an embarrassing cry when rushing into battle is a question I guess we will never get to ask... seeing as though we are all dead...)
Our pilots bravely dove strait into the heart of battle.
Their microscopic capsules seem to be engulfed by the sheer volume of the enemies warships.
But valiantly they fought on. Dealing decisive blow after blow to the behemoths that had come to take our sooouuuulllllssssa
Warship after warship succumbed to its knees as our brave bomber squads bombed on.
In the distance we spot a bleeding behemoth, the TDN Behemov
We focus our fire to inflict the most damage and the vile Polluxonieans honor our valor by declaring "Times of war are upon us"
We chase the TDN Behemov as it heads for the edge of the gravity well, trying to escape.
We hit it with several last rounds of fire before
It finally disappears out of our reach. We are ecstatic! The Travilers have made the Polluxos retreat! Oh the jubilee, OHH the happy joyous cheers...
But... the horror quickly returned and our jubilee melted away as we came about to witness several Polluxonian Capital ships racing through our deffences tward our home within...
Fighter wave after fighter wave slowly whittled our bombers to sawdust, as our frigates seemed to be exploding like firecrackers on The Travilerian Independence Day
From that moment on it was every pilot for himself… if you were lucky, your wingman was still conscious. But it didn’t mater. Every pilot knew what he had to do, every wingman with out a... noseman... knew what his mission was. Every Travilerion knew his destiny brought him to meet his fate on this day.
Swimming like bugs around such massive structures trying to infect what damage we could... it all seemed so hopeless.
But every pilot continued his duty till his very last scream for his mommy filled the ears of all those with the correct coded tranpsonducer frequency...
And then... there was no more...
Only blue streaks filling the sky
Demolishing everything Travilerian society had worked so hard to build.
And more blue
And that... is The Battle That Raged After The Dawn Before Death
~In loving memory of all Travilerions~
You died due to the Polluxian directive to wipe out all life... then recolonize...
