Lucky Jack brought up a good counter-point in a thread about enhancing the ground combat. He mentioned that if one small part of the military portion of the game gets a lot of extra attention, then it will put too much emphasis on military victory. GalCiv was always about multiple paths to victory, including Technology, Culture and Alliance Victory. Does anyone have any ideas for improvements to the non-military game aspects? It would be great if we could come up with some ideas that Stardock hasn't thought of that may not be too difficult (or too late) for them to implement.
Some areas that come to mind that have not been discussed much are:
- Economics
- Trade
- Government / Government Types
- Morality (Good/Neutral/Evil)
- Culture
- Colonization Events
- Population Growth / Food Production
- Morale
- Taxes
This is too much to cram into one thread, so I suggest that people with ideas in these areas start some new threads.
