I know, I know, you've prolly heard about this issue time and time again... but here goes....
Well lets say I know a girl who had an eating disorder once. She was depressed, life was basically a disaster in her eyes. She was ashamed of who she was, what she looked like, how she did in school, of how much people loved her. She was convinced that she was hideous, that nobody would never love her like the people who seemed to be in love around her. She thought the only beautiful people were small and structured marvelously, something she thought she wasn't.
She wanted to change who she was, how she looked, the way she lived, and was willing to put her life on the line for that.
Thankfully though, she found a friend before any serious dangers came her way. A friend that was there, that saw what she was willing to do to her body was wrong, was not healthy.
Her friend helped her, and the girl's mind began to heal.
The girl went through that in the sixth grade...
Now, you see girls in highschool on diets to fit into that perfect prom dress, those hot jeans, that show-offy tube tope. Or just to appeal to the opposite (or same i spose...) sex. Either way, it becomes an obsession... which develope into disorders. The constant pressure to be perfect is so great, so huge, people voluntarily start killing themsevles just to be skinnier. Celebrities sure don't help the situation either,( more or less) they make it generally worse. Stars like Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson, and Brittney Spears are body role models to about every little girl. They become convinced that they should look like that.
We shouldn't force our bodies into that mold, something they aren't that is- God made us individual for a reason and if He wanted all females to be a Mary-Kate Olsen thin, tall, blonde-haired, blue-eyed doll, He would have made us like that. But then, come on guys, how boring would the opposite sex be if they all looked like that?
To any of those who may be reading this with an eating disorder, please, tell someone what your going through right now.
Talking helps; helps you realize that you could be seriously hurting yourself.
Well thats it or now, y'all! If you have any comments, they would be apprieciated!
