Maybe I should write a will

I was thinking, what if I die tomorrow, who is going to have my teddy bear, my bank account and all my useless junk?

After all, it's not because i'm 22 that i cant die from a car accident or whatever...

And who's gonna let you guys at JU know that i'm not in the living world anymore?

Maybe I should start writing a will...

My parents would get whatever savings I have plus my junk: souvenirs, diaries, letters, they can have them and see who I was when we missed out on one another. My brother can inherit any furniture I have. He could sell the things he doesnt like and get some cash from it. My cousins in Vanuatu can inherit my clothes and my bling and make up. It wouldnt last them long I suppose, but they love it when I give them hand-me-downs.

What else? I dont have anything yet really. That's all I can think of. Dont have a house or a car or a pet. But if I happen to get one of those well i'll think of adding them to my will

How about you guys? Ever thought of writing one of your own? Or have you made one already? Would be interesting to know how it happens, legally speaking I mean. I'm sure a will i've written on my blog would be worth nothing.

I have a will.  I've notarized many wills, and witnessed even more.

Everyone should have a will.  People think that wills have to do with the passing on of heirlooms and inheriting money, and whilst that's a substantial part of it, that's not all there is to it.  Wills can help your relatives take care of your affairs after your death.  When you name someone as the executor of your estate, you're giving them the power to take care of your final bills for you, close your bank accounts or credit accounts for you....things like that. 

A person dying intestate (that's legal-eze for dying without a will) can be a huge headache for the people left behind.  But, you're in life insurance sales, so you know all that, right?

Yeah, that too. I forgot about the bills to pay! Not mentioning heavy debts... Thanks for the reminder.

But, you're in life insurance sales, so you know all that, right?

Nooooo! I sell vehicle, home, commercial and public liability insurance! Not life insurance. I get to sometimes sell medical insurance but that's rare, and we never ask for people to prepare a will prior to their subscritbtion. Maybe we should hey?

I have a will. I wrote it myself and signed in front of a Justice of the Peace. I would hate to leave a mess for my wife or relatives to clean up after me. One of the most important parts of the will for me is how I want to be disposed of, as I do not want to be buried. Also included is my organ-donor wishes (anything and everything except my eyes).

K, so they dont tell you what you should write in your will, as in things you should not forget to write down i mean?

Yep you make perfect sense, well to me anyway! I was actually thinking about that saying too, but wasnt sure if it was the reason to you
