There's almost 300,000,000 people in the US. Something like 117 million people voted in the last presidential election, and not all Republicans bother to vote in Presidential elections. 60 million voted Republican. Given that 50+ million people identify themselves as Libertarian, I think you can safely say substantially more than that consider themselves Republican.
Somthing like 160,000 actually register as Libertarian, so how you determine who is and isn't affiliated with a political party is gonna be tough. Maybe gentics? Shape of the head?
" I would appreciate it if you could express to me the issues that you consider to be important and how the republican party meets those isues (and I don't want homeland security or something like that, because that is a post-9/11 thing and therefore does not apply to the entire republican party, but rather just Bush. )" |
I can do that. I have to do a Battlestar Galactica review, but I'll whip something up later tonight or tommorow.
As for apologies and all that, no offense, but you knew what you were saying when you said it. If you don't like being called something as innocuous as "points whore" you can imagine how you'd feel to be called a bigot because of your political affiliation. I would suggest re-expressing yourself, because the article above is insulting and uninspired.
