It's Alias time!

-or- the long cold winter is over

I am a total Alias junkie. I think it is quite simply one of the most interesting and best done shows on TV. That it never seemed to garner the public respect and attention it should have (just about every TV critic agrees that more folks ought to be watching it) befuddled me.

I place a lot of blame on ABC for stupid scheduling. The Wonderful World of Disney just doesn't seem like an appropriate lead in for an action-packed spy thriller. But what do I know. I think that Lost will be a much better lead in and I am hoping that the show finally gets the attention it deserves. But if it doesn't I am okay as long as they keep making it!

It has been many months now since we last saw Sydney Bristow thumbing through a file containing incriminating information regarding her father Jack. But tonight the long cold winter of no Alias is over. I am thrilled and will be glued to my tube for the two hour season opener tonight. After three seasons of a developing relationship between daughter and father, I look forward to seeing what kind of twists JJ Abrams comes up with next.

I don't watch a lot of TV, but since the first episode of Alias it has been one I watch without fail. And I look forward to a season with fewer interruptions and hopefully more twists and turns.

Woo hoo!

Here are my wishes for the new season: I wish Vaughn would turn out to be a bad guy. Won't happen, but I wish. I think he's whiny. And I wish Sydney's mom would come back--she's my favorite character. Also I wish I could *be* Sydney, but yeah, not gonna happen. I could kick ass, but I'm not that good of a shot.

Anyway, we'll have to discuss this after the show. And I'm on PST so I won't see it for three hours after you (two?), so don't post any spoilers or I *will* come over there and hurt you.

I don't know if she is my favorite (I can't get over how cool Victor Garber is as Jack with his good guy, but still sort of a bad guy persona), but I really missed her last season. She was a fascinating addition.

No worries, I won't post any spoilers tonight, but will do sort of a summary/write up tomorrow morning in which we can act like obsessive fools and discuss it!

I love this show and have been watching it from the beginning. It reminds me a lot of my favorite show of all time - "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." It has similar themes to the show. The first season of Alias is flat-out awesome television.

Well, the show is over. I won't post any plot items tonight for those in other time zones. I will just say this.

I liked it. There was a lot I liked about it. However, there were still a few things I was disappointed with. But better than last season so far.

Alias is my absolute favorite also...and now "Lost". I think that now that it will have a Wednesday night time slot, it will do much better. It is up against West Wing, which I still like but will have to be taping going forward.

You know this wouldn't be the first time someone who was supposed to be dead, dead, dead came back to life in the show. Come on A, this is Alias we are talking about, where dead never means dead and alive never means, um, oh crap, I don't know what I am saying.

It sufficeth me to say I don't believe Irina is dead yet. I am still dubious.
