Fences 5

Issue with Configuration opening

Hello,

I have Fences Version 5 and was using it on a Surface Pro Arm64 system running Windows 11. I recently restored it to factory settings due to BSOD. After reinstalling Fences, the configuration will not open. The Lock fences does not show up in the context menu either. I am wondering if I can get a call from support for help with this.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Unfortunately, Stardock do not "Call in", they do forum support right here in the forum.

Configuration will not open or you can not fine the right click menu item for "Configure Fences"? If the first, what error popup when you click on "Configure Fences"?
"Lock Fences" was removed by design since Fences 5, you will need to follow these steps to bring it back: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1621360668/Show+%22Lock+Fences%22+in+Fences+5

We also need more information on your system.

Windows 11 full version and OS Build number. Use Winver.exe.
Fences 5 full version number.
Open up your task manager and see if Fences have set to Startup twice. Fences need to have these startup to work properly. Refer screenshot below. Should look something like this.
