I'm experiencing some weird probems with Fences 6.
It all started when, after switching computers through a KVM switch, upon returning to my Win10 machine I received this message:

I uninstalled and reinstalled Fences, hoping it was just a problem with the update to beta1, but it didn't resolve the issue.
At this point, having noticed other unusual behavior (unrelated to Fences), I decided to re-install Windows from scratch.
A new installation of Fences (the last available version 6.02) caused another surprising behavior: when dragging and dropping
an icon into an existing fence, the icon didn't stick inside the fence, and remained on the desktop. (Sorry, this problem is now gone, so cannot show proof)
Also, willing to avoid redefining fences from start every time, I saved the layout backups and restored them after every reinstall.
This also revealed another strange issue: when clicking on the "Layout" item in the settings window, the following was shown:

and clicking on the "Tabs" item gave a similar result:

I uninstalled v6 and reinstalled v5, which is working fine on a Win11 machine, but the weirdnesses didn't go away.
In the end, after reading your forum, I went with the purge option and then reinstalled v6.02.
Now the desktop works fine, but the error dialogs still keep appearing, making impossible restoring desktop layouts different from the last backed up.
And the error after he KVM switch keeps popping up.
If can be useful, here are some data about my system:
Windows 10 Pro 22H2
Operating system build 19045.6159
