I recently purchased a new machine with the following specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 1800x
MOBO: ASUS PRIME X370-PRO
RAM: Corsair Dominator 32GB 3000Mhz
GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SC (X2 IN SLI)
HDD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB Internal
Cooling: Corsair Hydro Series H110i
For some reason, Fences seems to run like an absolute DOG. Any attempt to select or move an icon takes for ever, as does switching between one screen and another by dragging. When things finally do move, they feel extremely choppy. I do have an enormous number of icons on my desktop, so I'm sure that's part of it, but I don't feel like I could manage my icons very well if I didn't have Fences installed. Are there any general performance improvement tips related to Fences that I might be able to take advantage of? I'd hate to have to get rid of it, but at this point it's making my new machine feel like something from 1998.
Thanks!
