Hi,
I've only just joined these forums but I've been playing SOASE for years. Happy to be amongst like-minded addicts.
Just one thing I'd like to ask about this game. For two reasons; to save my sanity, and to see if it's me that's at fault. I usually play SOASE Rebellion as a TEC loyalist in single player.
When I'm playing on a HUGE map and there's 3 or more stars with adjoining systems, whenever I attack an enemy system and my Novalith Prototypes spring into action and start bombing the hell out of it... it doesn't stop. Long after I have destroyed the last enemy ship/structure/starbase (like hours and hours afterwards) the Novaliths are still going strong, bombing the same system. As a test I actually left the game running today, while real life took over, and timed how long the same system was being bombed. There was just an Akkan Battle Cruiser in the system, with the colonise ability. Approx. 10am was when I left everything it's now almost 7pm and the Novaliths are STILL sending wave after wave of projectiles to this planet. Effectively stopping me from colonising it, permanently! Alternatively, if I do manage to colonise a planet (either enemy or non-aligned faction) that has been bombed by my Novaliths beforehand, even after I colonise it the bombs keep on coming. Sometimes I can build a shield quickly and then I'm ok, but if not... I lose the planet and need to wait until I can try again.
Is there something I'm doing wrong or haven't set in the options, or turned on/off? I have tried to Google for this problem and found nothing. I have found a lot of players wanting to bomb their own planets (LOL!) and requesting it as a feature. I (sadly) have experienced this with almost every game I have played since the Rebellion update and want the exact opposite. I want to stop bombing my own planets and systems that are no longer owned by enemies and non-allies.
Can anybody offer me some kind advice please?
Thanks in advance.
