Total Newb to 4X and these games

Any help ? :)

Well, first post, nice game but I need help .. I ain't a fan of looking at guides and videos and for the most part I don't understand really that much, is there a place I can go to learn the basic's and find out how to begin on the right foot?

Uh well, what do you do when you need help with other games? I assume you've played the tutorials?

Uh well, what do you do when you need help with other games? I assume you've played the tutorials?

 

I use guides and videos for other games, but not for this kind of genre, besides it confuses me alot , I basicly want to know what Race has a lower learning curve so I can master the basics and move onto the vasari >

I always recommend TEC Rebels, they are fairly simple and their Truce Amongst Rogue tech prevents the pirates from attacking you if you leave them on.

I would say either TEC faction, the Rebels sure do make it easier if you have pirates but the Loyalists are great if you're going to turtle for any length of time as they (Loyalists) get nice bonuses in their own gravity wells in addition to double starbase (useful against AI) and Novalith spam.
