They have also announced that higher tier backers can name units in every tier below, such as villagers, archers, nobles, heroes all the way up to king.

The graphics are styled to be different, these are guys who built Little Big Planet and created the mod system.

They plan on releasing a new updated video that shows how the game works in greater detail, to replace the current one. This way backers don't have to watch all the updates to understand what is happening.

Art style wont fit everyone, however, the controls are very fluid. With a mouse pointer you can draw a very accurate path. No more worrying about the AI walking into walls and going the wrong way or cutting through enemy bases. In game play video 2 part 2 Jonny shows how you can use the painted trails to guide your units along a narrow path between enemies to attack from  a different angle. The use of different colored trails also helps to direct your different troops to the desired location without fumbling around and clicking on the next one.

The painting idea also helps with the plague mechanics. With normal games you might form groups but in Death Inc you are continually spreading disease and recruiting fresh units whilst old ones fall. It saves on having to continually regroup all your units as you progress through the map.
