Questions about rebellion ?

Hi

Been playing diplomacy expansion over the past months is the upgrade to rebellion worth it ?

 

Performance wise what differences is there between diplomacy vs rebellion will it be noticeable when compared to diplomacy ?

 

Is it gonna be cheaper to purchase rebellion when it is released or cheaper now when its in beta ?

1. IMHO it is. A lot has been added that changes the way the game plays

2. I do get better performance but it is now at the limits so there is still some slow down in late game.

3. Cheaper with beta though I wouldn't be surprised if there is a grace period when its released for those that have bought Diplomacy/Trinity.

Am i the only one who thinks that even with the discount for being owner of trinity 29.95USD is a lot of dough for what is essentially the same game as diplomacy just some new content and game options i mean its like buying sins all over again?

No you're not, there was a thread about it before. The value for money proposition isn't as good as it was for the Entrenchment/Diplomacy combination, particularly since what was needed most wasn't addressed (multithreading).

I don't regret buying it, but I wouldn't rate it nearly as highly as I would previous Sins offerings and probably won't buy anything else in the series until they update the engine.

If you were looking to by something radically new to Sins then no this is not the expansion for you. Personally I have yet to find an expansion pack that ever does this (there might be one or two) and most of those are normally priced between $20 to $40. I think some of us got a little spoiled when Ironclad/Stardock introduced the first two expansions at $10. I find the new stuff to be fun and am looking forward to the new modding capabilities that are coming along as well.

You almost have to look at it( game cost) as supporting the developer, not a price to content ratio.
