I was playing a large multi the other day as a Tec Loyal against 6 random AI's, just messing around with fleet building and I noticed that my main attack fleet, which consisted of an odd mix of everything. My scouts AI were completely ignoring the mines and instead attacking frigates, my titan decided the best path to the retreating enemy was thru the field of mines my scouts completely ignored, and the flak was on the complete opposite side of the gravity well with my healers and refused to target anything that wasnt a squadron. Anything I would tell them to target would produce a red "imma shoot it" line but they would just fly up, look at it and change their minds, not even firing at the squadrons that were zipping around unless I told them to.
Unfortunatly I forgot to capture this behavior in anyway or keep a save file of it and have been trying to replicate the behavior, they'v acted better in subsequent games, tho the scouts are still doing a horrible job of mine tending. Anyone else notice them acting like this?
Edit: I should note that when send into a grav well that consisted of nothing but mines, like a recently taken over planet, scouts will go about their normal business of mine-zapping, but it seems to take forever compared to entrenchment and diplomacy. Rite now id rather fight multiple starbases in every grav well then a few groups of mines.
