First of all I'm gonna compliment Ironclad on making one helluva game. You guys normally get complaints for just about everything. You've done great. Played Sins back in 2008 when it was released, still do. Lets get down to business. My beta impressions.
Game played as Advent Rebels. Worth noting that my game never crashed once, even when speeding the game up to 16x speed. Played on Core i5 2400k, 8GB RAM, MSI mobo, overclocked ASUS GTX 580
Titans:
One of the first things I see when scouring the forums is that the titans can be one helluva threat but there seems to two camps split in what happens when a titan dies: those who say that a titan should lose all of it's experience because that makes the game more threatening. The other camp states they shouldn't lose experience because they simply take too long to level. Personally it'd be cool if the experience was instead cut in half - rounded up. You don't want the titan to die but not all of the leveling is gone if lost. An alteration to cost can be added for rebuilding your titan/keeping it's level.
Superweapons:
Well I'm one of many people on the board who are saying that they are getting stomped by a ridiculous number of novalith warheads. WTF. When I quit the computer had built a total of TWELVE. Of my ten planets I was getting credits from only half of them because my people were dead on the rest. Never made this complaint before but I guess that's because I play with friends who like to beat the shit out of each other rather than shoot a weapon across the map. The TEC have an upgrade for planetary shields. Hope I'm not out of my league as an Advent player to be jealous of such an upgrade.
Another reasoning I believe is to have the option to simply turn superweapons off. While seemingly a passifist idea I just like have a regular game of smacking players around.
Planet Aftermath
Something I noticed is that planets that I have lost to bombardment have their asteroids reset to lower values, GREATLY. On planets with asteroids that I should be harvesting at .73 has been reduced to .22 After being hit with a novalith warhead. Something I missed? Cus that hurts. Ouch.
Weapons
Really don't have any complaints for the guns themselves. Just keep evening things out.
