I don't know, I don't recall Bush 1 and Reagan trying to become the supreme leader of this country. Clinton didnt show much of that either even though he did try to make the Gov't bigger and why do you think Bush 2 was disliked? It wasn't for his Conservative views.
He still did it, right? No matter what the reason, he did it. Same thing with Obama, the point is he's done things that are questionable.
As for Obama "becoming the supreme leader," puh-lease.
That's paranoia talking Charles; same thing as the antichrist and messiah garbage.
Let's face reality here Alderic, Obama has shown time and again that he wants the Gov't to have as much control as possible, he has shown time and again that he favors leaders of countries who either abuse their citizens or attempt to stay in power against the peoples will or the Constitution or constantly insult the US (Zelaya, Ahmadinejad, Castro, Chavez) and he has also shown time and again that he only cares about passing every Democratic policy the Democrats ahve tried to pass before but now have the power to get passed with little if any concern over the effects it will have against an economy that is already hurting.
He favors ahmadinejad? He favors Castro? He favors Chavez? Okay, maybe chavez. The point being, the way I see it is that he is shedding the whole BS cold war, communism is evil foreign policy. I agree, he shouldn't be soft with them. I want to see him be firm, but willing to work with them - if they'll work with us. I just don't buy the Cuban embargo anymore; Ahmadinejad, sure, I get the deal with him; Chavez? He's a friggin kook and not a threat in my opinion. Honestly, if I was president, I would work with them in effort for them to work with us.
They insult us?
The great and mighty United States of the World?! (M'uh bad, America.) Good gracious, what a tragedy, it isn't like we've earned some of it. Nor is it like we can't shrug it off. When someone insults you, do you always walk up and knock him out? No, not always. We need to get over our arrogance when it comes to the US being insulted.
Yet we elect these people in? Oh look, another democrat....oh look...another republican. Yes, both parties will continue to do the same shit over, and over, and over, and over and...did i mention over? Republicans will bitch about democrats running up the bill, then the republicans will offer an "alternative," which really isn't an alternative. Guess what, no one is doing anything about it. Including, perhaps, you. Yes, it's BS; Yes, I would like to see it changed. Yes I agree that Obama is doing things that are crap, but to approach it with a chicken little mindset is ludicrous.
If you chose to see this as "politics as usual" then I don't understand why Obama won these elections since he was suppose to be change, not more of the same. When you can make sense out of that then we can probably get off Obama's back.
Do I see it? Yes, but I never voted for Obama, so it's sort of a mute ponit. Also, I'm not saying don't criticize him. I'm not saying he is infalliable. I'm saying...not everything is his fault. Congress with the republicans, and democrats; congress with it's "unbiased" judges, and all others...are also equal to it. Whether or not they did it, they're also guilty by complicity.
Right?
So, have you criticized a republican/conservative/fellow voter/judge today?
Be well, ~Alderic
P.S. You know, and this is going to sound seditious...but I honestly think we need a revolution. I just don't see this bullshit cycle changing any time soon, yet people complain about it...
