Ive found that if you have the game windowed, you can hit the x to exit it then the 'are you sure' window will stay there.

If you bring that up and hit cancel, sometimes it will kick you into the game

if you have a keyboard with configurable keys, do the following:

create a new text file -> open it and enter : TASKKILL /F /IM Demigod.exe /T -> close and save the textfile, give it a name and change the ending from .txt to .bat -> assign the file to a key

now you can hit the key everytime demigod freezes and it will be killed with no mercy. i've used it very often!
