Hiya
First of all, thanks for the great applications! I usually don't have any complaints of any of the Stardock applications (and I have lots
).
However, after installing Fences (which is great btw) and updating WB, IP and few other applications using Impulse, I cannot change the wallpaper on my Vista 64 system anymore. I can go to the wallpaper browser and select different pictures, but they never actually get "selected" and applied to the desktop...
The only way I could change wallpaper is through WB...
Aside: Normally I would be okay with just using WB to change Wallpaper, but I have never been able to update WB using Impulse on my Vista 64 PC.
I have tried this on a completely clean install of Vista 64 w/ no Antivirus or Malware detection program installed, and I always get the "WB installation isn't complete, reboot is required" prompt, on every reboot. So the only way that I can get WB to be installed is by uninstalling it first and reinstall... (And I think because of that I actually had problem with activating WB too often problem once.)
Is there a way to COMPLETELY clean prior installation of WB? I use Impulse to uninstall, but it seems that it doesn't clean up all the registry entries. This is demonstrated by the fact that Impulse will try to install WB in the wrong folder every time, even after I set the proper path through Impulse...
Furthermore, I have Impulse installed at my office pc too, which uses Ultramon. But after my latest batch of updating of OD applications. A separate wallpapers can no longer be applied to the 2 monitors that I use. That system has windows XP, and previously I was able set a different wallpaper on both monitors. But now only the wallpaper on the primary monitor will be used no matter what I set the wallpaper to the second monitor to.
Seems like something either from WB or fences that is taking over the wallpaper settings.
I have checked my registry and policy settings for wallpapers and they are fine.
Please help, thanks!
