May I ask where are you located that you were up till 4 AM? I myself was sick so was able to see it live from my house since I took the day off.

I am glad you are happy with his inaguration. As a proud American who upholds everything this country was built on, I may not like him as President, but I respect him and will support him (to a certain extent of course). He will, after all, represent us around the world. The elections were fair and it's the way our country functions and it's proof our fgor of Democracy works.

Let's put our differences aside for a moment and look forward to a better future. In the end Obama can help fix things (or make it worse but  lets hope for the best right?) but it is our responsibility to make things better. For no matter how much money any President throws around, if we don't change our spending habbits, our credit lifestyle and our priorities from "wants" first to "needs" first, all his hard work will be pointless.

Diana's death may not have been important to Americans, however I live in a country where Diana was actually a member of my royal family and her funeral was watched by an unprecedented number of people with every single TV sation choosing to air it live. Your interest is neither here nor there, it was a significant moment witnessed by millions.

Leauki, maybe the Webster's is open-minded enough to include the word "cleverer", but the Macquarie isn't, so as I can't be bothered going through each of Obama's speeches for you, I'll simply point to the fact that he doesn't use made up words as evidence of his intelligence and leave it at that. You disagreeing with Obama does not mean he is not intelligent. Here, I'll even show you some bipartisanship here to demonstrate that you can recognise intelligence where there is no agreement. I once read an interview with GW Bush where I was surprised by how intelligently he spoke about Iraq. You see? It can be done. But I'm not surprised that you are incapable of doing that. HA, Leauki! You have the patience.  You crack me up!  When ever the L-RD will's us to get together we'll have some great conversation and fun correcting each other to use the right words.  An example is chip.  A chip to me is a potato chip.  A chip to an individual in the UK is a french fry. 

Champas did say ' Your contributions are a waste of time and I feel upset with myself for even bothering to type this paragraph.'  Maybe Leauki, you made Champas so upset that he became filled with rage and now he is a rageaholic.  Due to him being a rageaholic he probably destroyed his computer in a fit of rage due to your paragraph writing.

There is one solution to this........ Leauki, you must stop writing paragraphs and write 5 or less sentences.  I think that's what the academic world considers a paragraph to be.

Funny thing is, while he reveled in the election of Rudd, he is not at all happy with his performance.  I have not seen him write a lot, but I have heard that while Rudd pays a lot of lip service to the left down under, he has not done a lot for them.  So the promises of election have given way to the realities of governance.

And I do not think Rudd will survive the next election.  I hope that is one thing we have in common with the Aussies.  One term disasters.
