An Impulse question

Running Impulse/Explore I get a number of pages of products headed by a large rectangular black area with a little white area with a red X in the top left corner. This is usually an indication of a faulty or unavailable image. What am I missing, if anything? If nothing, I can think of better uses for the real estate.

Do you have Flash enabled on your pc?

Good question. I do hava an Adobe Flash Player 10 plugin installed, but that's all. Is it something I should or shouldn't have?

Whichever answer leads to the question: is the requirement documented anywhere?

A web site required me to install Flash this morning. Now there's a picture in the rectangle.
