I think this is another hocum-scarem issue - the ones where we are all going to die tomorrow. Stupid.
It would seem that way but you know how kids are, easily bored!!!
but one a day is not going to make them become Mr. Hyde. Too many can screw up things like any abuse of a good thing (the rush and all). But one a day?
Indeed!
I am curious about 1 thing though Forever, you didn't mention any concern over this but could you tell me why your son would need to drink "Energy" drinks at all?
He likes it, they are mostly citrus flavored, the one he drinks and he drinks one every other day, used to. I didn't let him drink it everyday. I did become concerned before reading this article that is why I didn't let him drink one everyday. He's a naturally hyper kid, 13 years old. Did it give him an energy boost, yes. Did I mind that, nope, because it keeps him alert in school. There was no downer, and it didn't affect his habits that I saw. However, I knew he wasn't getting enough sleep, and I became concern that he might have been subsituting it for lack of sleep. So I had a talk with him and reiterated how important sleep was for his growing body, etc, etc, etc. But I did let him drink it no more than three times a week. Now not anymore.
Get some water, people.
Yes, absolutely! I have stressed to him that it is important to drink water. He doesn't really like water that much.
Sports drinks are useful after physical activity.
Agreed!
