Moderate you are not!! Independent, I don't think so!!

How extremes of both the right and left toss around the term Moderate and Independent to add credibility to their statements

First I will start of with Webster's Online Dictionary Definitions of the word Moderate and Independent

Now with those two definitions out the way I will get to the topic at hand.

I personally am 'sick n' freaking tired' of political pundits of extreme sides or clearly of one side claiming they are independent or moderate when they are clearly are not by their actions and words not moderate or independent. It seems that if they use these two terms they can come off sounding oh so credible and thoughtful when they state that they are one when the rest of their statement throws that right back in their face.

It's called hypocrisy, ladies and gentlemen, and doing this shows that you clearly one side not the middle and are a blatant hypocrite.

Don't call yourself an independent or moderate when you are clearly not it makes your statements seem less credible in my eyes and the eyes of those who are truly moderate and independent, though in the eyes of your collective harpy group they will make your word law because you used those two terms and there by their irrational illogical definition are moderate and independent. Wake up you damn freaking hypocrites, and smell the freaking truth for once.

If any of the following applies to you, you are not a moderate or independent:

1. If you buy into the hypocrisy of the same identical policies and ideals held by both major candidates are different, with one being that strengthens and the other weakens, than you sir or ma'am are not a Moderate or Independent, take your damn side and get out of the middle aisle.

2. If you support racial equality but than go about saying electronic machines discriminate races and start to separate people into black and white colors, you are not a moderate or independent, and frankly by a truthful definition a reverse racist, which is still racism.

3. If people say that your chosen guy is a definite flip-flopper and than go on claiming the other guy is too, you are a definitely not a moderate and independent.

True independent and moderates can add some more to this list.

Basically what I am getting at is that these 'fake' independent and moderates are drawing the 'true' independent and moderates into the mud, and I for one am sick of it, take your side you partisan want to be center fakes, you are not fooling me and you are not fooling the true 'independent and moderates' so get of the damn middle aisle and go back to your side, you are only showing how much of hypocrite you are.

The whole problem with the GOP is they tend to do anything to get their guy elected even if it is wrong.

I seriously hope you have not forgotten to add the DNC to that list, BOTH major parties will 'lie, cheat, and steal' to win. How can anyone who is an independent fall for what the Democrats are saying? Freaking Hypocrisy with their values, every vote counts BUT third party votes are 'wasted votes' is that right? How am I supposed to live in a society where Republicans are promoting a non-secularist society, which is bad for me as I am not a Christian so it is on my mind if they start attacking the members of the Occult and Chaos is it not?

How about each race should be treated equally than they go about saying so-so minority is not smart enough to vote OR the fact that they keep breaking society down into BLACK, WHITE, HISPANIC, and so on when they keep saying they are the party of minorities?

What the freak is wrong with your rational logical mind? Did it get fried with ignorance? Are do we just bat a blind eye to everything one party does in hopes that the other does not do that right?

How can support holding lofty ideals without the actions to support them or actions without the lofty ideals to go with them?

How can anyone support Kerry when Lieberman was the obvious BETTER choice, which by the way he is getting left behind in favor of returning to the extreme ideals?

Seriously I hope there is a revolution in though in America putting both major parties out on the street until they learn how to behave and return to their roots, or do you love debauchery and people driven mad with power?

You want a freaking rant, well now you got one.

I hate to tell you this but there is only a 2% percent difference in the two party's proposed Federal Budget which tells me that there is only 2 percent difference between the two, this was pointed out by a buddy of mine.

Democrat calling a Republican a liar, etc. is like the 'black pot calling the kettle black'.

Independent hypocrites who are not really independent but partisan and people throwing around the term 'moderate' when they are clearly not but want to come off as sounding good and having more credibility with that term. You people piss me off too no end, quit the damn wolf in sheep's clothing political meanderings and show your damn true colors.

QUIT PUSSYFOOTING AROUND CONS OF EACH OF YOUR CANDIDATES AND ACCEPT THEM!!

Oh for those Kerry lovers out there who says the almighty Kerry will strengthen the border, well your DAMN SAINT HAS THE DAMN SAME VIEW ON THE BORDER AS YOUR VILLIAN BUSH, if it is the same idea as Bush and you call it strengthening than damn you better realize that Bush's plan (which is the same as Kerry's vice versa) is also strengthening. You can't call one weakening and call the same idea with the other strengthening that is hypocrisy, goes for Bush lovers too.

I can think of a couple people at whom you might be directing this.

At any rate, I generally agree with what you have to say. However, I think you can be a moderate with a slight lean towards a candidate's character, not their party.

True, and I have nothing wrong with that, what I have wrong is people who claim they are ideologically middle when they are clearly one polar side that is nowhere near the middle.

I consider myself an independent despite having very strong views on a wide range of issues.

I'm VERY pro-business, anti-welfare and pro war in Iraq. These are conservative views.

I'm also militantly pro-choice, support affirmative action to varying degrees, pro gay civil unions, anti-amendment to stop gay marriage, and have been involved with the ACLU on a lawsuit (on their side).

But I get people emailing me claiming I'm a far right wing nut (and sometines called a liberal but not as often).

I pick and choose my views. On many issues I consider myself a conservative overall. So I would say I'm nominally aconservative if I had to pick between the two.

But I can say I'm an independent - sometimes I vote for Republicans and sometimes I don't. I've voted for Democrats (I've voted for Democratic governors every time but once) as well as independents.

ENGSOC, English Socialism Party from George Orwell's (Eric Blair) 1984 Novel.

Turns out I been putting it wrong, oh well I should read the book again it has been over 5 years since I last read it.

Newspeak word of the day:

Ingsoc - English Socialism. More properly described by Goldstein as Oligarchical Collectivism. The political system described by Orwell closely resembles that of Stalinism.
