As a consumer, I don't buy things just to give my money to some one. I want the product, and that's the reason I bought this game.
But compared to other games, this game I just instantly bought through direct download. No need for a demo (I find demos gimped most of the time anyway), just open the wallet and hoist up. And I have no regrets!
Now, it has to be said I know Stardock from back in the OS/2 days and I've spend many hours in the first Galactic Civilization. And Sins of the Solar Empire just shows so many of the trademarks I've come to expect from their products. Most noticeable to me is: Good customer dialog, product design and strong optimized code (not many new titles can effectively be played on older boxes today)
When buying Sins online, I took the the liberty to fetch the full GalCiv2 package (incl. upcoming expansion), as I just knew that those two titles pack such an amount of replay value. Add to that, they are actually pretty cheap.
Now I'll stop and figure out how to edit this post, so it doesn't sound like I'm a complete fan-boi
