It always amazes me to see the difference between the attitudes of politicians when they're sitting on their butts in Washington and when they go see for themselves. It rarely changes their attitude towards the war itself, but almost always changes the way they speak of the troops.
I feel sorry for the troops forced to sit and eat with him though, since the blow hard still hasn't apologized (or been charged for) the slandering of the Marines.
Aslo, I guess it totally ecsapes Murtha's grasp that if Prs. Bush had listened to him before, Iraqis wouldn't have had the opportunity to listen to him now and take a bigger role in their own security.
