Beta 3 Closes Friday

October 12th is the last day to get in before Beta 4

We will be closing access to Sins of a Solar Empire Beta 3 to new customers tomorrow, October 12th. Anyone who pre-orders the game after Beta 3 is closed will be able to join up when Beta 4 launches next month.

If you use tokens you can still get into beta anytime though right?

what time tomorrow? Is there time to order the game tomorrow? Or is it closed from tomorrow until beta 4? Also, can you buy tokens, then use them to buy the game and get into the beta(I dont really know how tokens work but whatever)?

Yes, the token path will continue to be available after the window closes. See TotalGaming.Net for more about tokens.

crap i came to late ah well i orderd the game so i gonna have it soon anyway.
It looks good and might be something else to play then my eve online
eve is getting old and boring time for a new space kick ass game

pitty we can't get tokens when we have purchased the game with the pre order.
wy not just leave it a open beta to all that pre order at any time?

The Beta is still open until tomorrow (Tuesday).  We don't leave it open all the time because we need to limit the number of testers. Too many and things become unwieldy to manage.

True. But then again, they only have a month and a half to have the game "finished" -- sure, there are 2 months past that until release, but they need time to go through QA, go gold and make the CDs, distribute, etc etc. (Question for the devs: Do you go through QA before or after that month and a half mark? Is it an ongoing process since your doing so much "in-house", or does Stardock actually have a separate QA that it has to pass after that mark?)

./Just realizes that he'd sent a PM -- not five minutes earlier -- to someone named "JudgementTAA" -- with information that just got proven incorrect. Alas, I can't figure out how to PM him without either replying to a post of his (best of my knowledge he hasn't made any) or an existing PM to reply to (I deleted it already). Boy do I feel stupid!
