Ah...so...bored....so I'm doing an article about writer's block....which I'm currently suffering from. Ok, we've all probably had this tormenting dilema at one time or another and it can be frustrating especially on assignments you must complete for school or work. Everyone wants to know how to overcome this stupid thing and I've worked out a few ways to get around it...
1. Meditate-(not in a yoga, guru, hippie way) Just lay down or sit on a comfy seat and just close your eyes and let your mind wander...no matter the thought...just keep thinking. Past experiences, poems, stories, and many ideas can be obtained this way...as long as you don't fall asleep...
2. Ask others for prompts- If you're not into sitting around daydreaming then just go ask friends, family, coworkers/peers, etc. for prompts...just ask "What would you write about?" or "Hey, do have any ideas for this report/article?"
3. Watch TV-So many ideas can be taken from commercials, the news, and movies...just sit there and soak it in...
4. Wait for something interesting to happen-the last resort for some people although probably not the best if you're on a timetable or due date...(common method used by lethargic people and procratinators)
Well that could help some people...I guess...I couldn't think of anything else to write about so I'm sorry if this is incredibly boring but it might help someone...so there ya go:)
Hasta Luego,
