You won't want to just tune in, probably. I luck up every now and then and find something interesting, but usually it is pretty bland.
The great part about CSpan, though, is their
web presence. They have their schedules up, and offer a LOT of their programs to watch online. One program that I get tons of insight from is their BookTV.
Once I started watching it regularly, I found myself shifting up a level in awareness. Instead of getting the speeches and press conferences second hand from the news, you see them yourself. It's made a lot of difference in forming my own opinions, I think.
