I have never heard of Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC).

I didn't know that a regular mammogram cannot pick this up if you have it.

I didn't know that it looks like bug bites.

I didn't know. And apparently, neither did a lot of doctors from what this video report said.

Now I'm glad I do.


One of the person who had this was a sixteen year old who was too ashamed or afraid to tell her mom something was wrong. Now I have to make sure my daughter is also aware and informed.

We have to be so vigilant when something is wrong with our bodies. Even when the slightest thing looks odd but seems to be nothing to worry about, go visit a doctor to make sure.

The link is correct, it just takes two stories and some ads to get there. Just be patient and watch it.

With so much unawareness, I wonder how prevalent it is?

But at least news reports like that will at least make more aware of it.  It is good to see the Komen Center making it more prominent on its web site.

I haven't checked it out yet serenity,  will though.  wonder if it's like what I have with having little cysts? 

onetime I had to have my mammogram done twice because they thought it was a tumor and it was these little cysts.

Who knows. We all hear about breast cancer but didn't realise that there would or could be more than the norm (not that there's such a thing as normal cancer) one.

If one person gets it, we should know.  But as it is so insidious, I hope it is rare.  That is all I meant.

I guess it's not so rare anymore Doc. The good thing is now we know what symptons to look for.
