my 4 year old, in Head Start, said something at school that I find very interesting (as most 4 or 5 yr olds wouldn't say something like this). The teacher said he said this, and in fact, says things like this all the time.
He was going to one of his classes (speech therapy, I believe), when he saw a little boy in a wheel chair. Christian (my son) said: Look, that boy is in a wheel chair. He cannot walk, but if he could, he would want to."
One day, on his way to speech therapy (he really doesn't need it anymore, as he just never "shuts up" now), he saw the nurse. He said: "Look, there is Nurse 'so-and-so', she is the school nurse. She helps kids when they are sick at school".
It is strange, but to Christian, everything, and everyone, has a story behind it/them.
As for my youngest (3 yr old boy), he has several little things he says now too. One, is when he starts running across the yard, or the house...or wherever his little feet is running, he shouts: "Run like the wind!!"
I watch wrestling (the older wrestling from the 80s), and have several dvd's. I was watching a match a couple months ago of Jerry Lawler fighting someone, and lawler was hitting the guy, then kissed his fist, then punched him. Jake was sitting there watching it with me. After that, he now nearly always kisses his fist before he hits me (while we are play-wrestling). He also watched a match with Dusty Rhodes, where Rhodes did his fist twirling before he hit some guy. He now does that too.
Little kids are just too cool...especially if they are your own
