Alrighty. I was hoping some of you fellas might be able to help me out here.
Essentially, my problem is this - my personal preferences tend towards the Mac side of the farce, but I want to play this game. As it's from a small developer I can't reasonably my Mac bretheren and I expect to get a translation, so I'd decided on using an emulator. Unfortunately, I'm not sure which one to go with; I tried downloading one called 'Q', which is a graphical QEMU Emulator for OS X, but it's simulated graphics card is uh... well, I believe the term obsolete is the polite way of saying it.
Hideously, repulsively obsolete. Ah, Cirrus Logic GD5446 PCI VGA Card, your 4 MB of VRAM may have been cutting edge once upon a time but now you're simply standing between me and sweet , sweet Gal Civ II. And of course, let us not contemplate your brother in the options, standard VGA card with Bochs VBE. "He" doesn't even have specifications. Bah.
I suppose I could just hit the web until it coughs up a suitably potent emulator, preferably one I don't have to pay for, but I find that asking for help is rarely a bad idea. Even if I do figure out things on my own, it can't hurt to have people who are probably more knowledgeable than I give out some hintses. If nothing else I figure we can amuse ourselves with a rousing round of 'nuh uh, my computor is bettur tahn yorz!'
