Gameplay Question

New to game

I just got this game and am enjoying, but had a gameplay question. I just started the campaign and was wondering, should I be spending more time on each turn in the beginning? I have my planets building stuff and my ships are exploring, but for a bit now, I find myself pushing the turn button quite a few times in a row, does everyone else do this or should I be taking my time more?

Well I dont think you have anything to lose really even if you get defeated

unless you are using GalCiv2 as a sort of russian roulette thing which I would never recommend

I recomend starting in a sandbox game, small galaxy, not very difficult settings, and play a few games before you play the campaign at all.

Then you will know what settings to put everything on and you wont wonder if you are missing something everytime you hit "end turn"

I usually just speed click trough stuff at eh begining. Only when ship are built (and the blue indicater pops up) or war starts do I really slow down. Later in game things go a little slower, usually since there is more diplomacy and fighting going on.
