Routing problem?

I'm trying to connect within my subnet (192.168....) my desktop to my laptop.
My desktop has a fixed address as my laptop. In-between sits a router and a wireless router. Internet works from both.
If I connect the laptop to the main router on an ethernet port, Multiplicity works but if is connected with wifi it doesn't.
Any guess why?

As far as my knowldge is, MP doesn't have wireless support as of yet .. but I am NOY sure about it ..

MP does not care if the network is wired or wireless as it is the same to it (TCP/IP)

Remember your laptop wireless card will have a different IP address to your ethernet port on the laptop.

Running ipconfig from a command prompt should list the IP addresses on your PC.

Thanks both.
My IP address are correct.
I have .220 for wifi and .3 for eth
Do you know what IP tool I could use to trace the routing between the two and so check that is a specific and not widespread (all applications) problem?

I have the same set up and am having the same symptom. I can telnet with the ethernet but not the wifi.

Hmmm. Assuming the laptop is the secondary, and that the Multiplicity client is properly installed and sees your network....

Double-click on the Multiplicity icon in the tray. The resulting dialog box taskbar says "Multiplicity Settings - 192-168-x-x". The latter TCP/IP address needs to match the address in the primary computer's Multiplicity Configuration dialog.

On my setup the Linksys router would occasional reset my addresses when I rebooted the laptop. Making sure the above two match has saved me all kinds of grief. Good Luck

I have solved the puzzle...

First I had a basic routing problem in the wifi.
I had configured the wifi as a router within the same 192.169.200.x network. I changed that to AP with DHCP referring to my adsl-router and I could then ping perfectly... I did set my laptop with a fixed IP.

Then it was still not working and finally I found a little error I did. I have 3 remotes definitions and it happened the good one was the last one...
Enough to say that in the configure-interface tab my left-hand machine was not the last defined...
As I changed it, it started working.
Wished to share so others will not make the same, silly, mistake.
