Unable to achieve influence victory

In a game I recently played, I clearly had an adequate portion of the galaxy under my influence to meet the victory condition, but the victory condition screen didn't reflect this. Either it, or the minimap influence display, seem to be wrong. I have a save showing this problem; please contact me via email if you want it.

Were you at war with anybody? Had you held enough of the galaxy under your influence for 10 turns?

The area you influence on the map isn't exactly the same as your overall influence, just a guide of where your influence is stronger.

I just finished a game and I know exactly what you're talking about. On the victory screen, it will show a percentage up in the white border around the 'Influence' section, but the message telling you what you need to achieve Influence victory says that the current percentage is lower. At one point, it showed 75% up top, but said I only had 70%... then later 85% and 74% or something close to that. It's not a linear diference.

Anyway, I just kept plugging along and eventually finished with an Influence victory.

An inf victory is hard to come by if one of the other race have gotten ahold of a inf resource and have it fully developed. I had inf coverage on most of the map but until a couple of races loses their inf resource, I t didn't get me colse to a victory till they somehow lost it (maybe it was attacj by another race and then once I got hold of them and had them develped, I got the inf victory not soon after that.
