This is such a silly question I feel silly for asking it.
How do I build weapons beyond lasers?
I'm in the campaign, I'm a new player so I'm playing on easy to get the hang of the system. I research space warfare and get the popup talking about lasers, mass drivers etc. But I can only ever research lasers as an option?
I must be overlooking something really obvious here.
