Fences constant updates

I've used fences 3 for years with no issues.
Recently I keep getting a notification to update to 3.1.8.5 which is the version that I already have.
I've updated twice and the notice keeps popping every couple of days. Why?
Btw I haven't see updates for years since the version is very old, despite working always fine.

Hello,

I've updated to 3.1.8.5 but I'm getting daily prompts to update to that same version. I don't want to totally disable updates as I may miss other important fixes. I just want to stop being prompted for 3.1.8.5

I updated my Windows 7 test system from Fences v3.16 to Fences v.3.18. But I don't see update popup appear again after reboot. Perhaps something went wrong while you installed.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.
