When I installed Fences 6, the option "Double click Fences titlebar to toggle roll-up" was not selected. The first three options under Rollup settings were selected. The last two were not. I only discovered this when it was pointed out to me.
The existing Fences from Fences 3 were all preserved on the desktop and I just started clicking the titlebars in an attempt to roll them up since I had read about Fences 6 features before upgrading. As I discovered, Directory Opus had double click on desktop to launch enabled and I was not seeing the expected Fences 6 behavior. Once I realized I could disable that in Directory Opus settings, I assumed double clicking title bar to roll-up should just work in Fences. When it didn't, I stumbled upon the ability to do it from the individual Fences group menus and rolled them up that way. Hover to expand did work.
It had to be pointed out to me by basj that I needed to select the "Double click Fences titlebar to toggle roll-up" option in order for that to work. I should have poked around more in both Directory Opus and Fences settings before reporting the issue as with a little RTFM I could have easily solved the problem.
