My Deskscapes 11 no longer plays WMV files

I have dozens of *.wmv files that were my favorites.  They show up in the list of 'Installed' animations and I can choose one, but the don't play.used to play.  Is there a specific system codec or setting to get them running again?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more details.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Also need its full version and OS Build number.
  2. Deskscapes 11 full version number.
  3. What change recently when the issue appear? New driver update? New Windows version? New software installed?

Win 11 24H2 Latest, Build : 26100.3775

HP Core i7

Nvidia M450

16GB Memory

2TB SSD/HDD

DeskScapes 11.02

No system wide changes of late.

 

(Sorry about the lack of stats, I imagined that a program that had been running flawlessly, every day for hours on end, for over three years had to be suffering from a major bug already reported)

First let try changing these setting, Try all 3 settings and see if any of it work.

Yeah, none of that worked, but...

Going in and changing the file type from wmv to mp4 or mpg did.  And the files were actually wmv in the meta-data.

 

Go figure...
