Maybe there was a windows update but now when I hit Control Esc i get the original Windows 11 menu instead of Start11. I would like to disable Control Esc altogether if possible or at least show the my Start11 menu.
The latest windows update changes the handling of the Windows key. 1.45 supports the win key opening the Start11 menu but ctrl escape is an ancient shortcut which we do not support at this time as we did not expect anyone to still be using that.
I only use Control Esc to switch from the game I'm playing to get back to Windows Desktop to look up info on the Internet through Chrome. I don't need the Start menu at all for that. I just noticed that the Windows key also brings up the standard Win11 Start Menu. I usually just disable that key anyway with the win disable button on my keyboard.
Alt-tab should get you back to the desktop.
You need Start11 1.45 beta or higher to resolve the issue with the win key.
Some games Alt tab works but not all, then i have to use Control Esc.
No major prob., though. I can live it. I just noticed this happening and wondered what on earth was going on. I'll just blame MS like I usually do anyway.
