What game and is it only with said game?

What does that mean, exactly? Move it from the Primary to the \ a Secondary... or no... Just moving it on the Secondary from one spot to the next? If the latter, how are you moving it?

Everquest…..I have not attempted but I will.

Sorry, Let me see if I can clarify. If Everquest is running in full screen (also occurs in window mode) mode on the primary and you click and drag the mouse/cursor on the secondary (in a program or on desktop) it causes the character to pan around as if you were clicking o no the primary.

I attempted to post a short video but I seem to only be able to attach still images🙁

What almost certainly is happening is the game is intercepting the simulated mouse input that is targeted for the Secondary.

There is no way in MP for it to stop the game from ignoring it (as it should be). What you may want to do is minimize the Windowed game when you work on the Secondary.... or at the very least, have something else with focus on the Primary other than the game itself.

So this has recently started and could be changes in the games code?

I know your product has been recommended on numerous sites for its use in this game. If the games code has changed it will impact that population.

It was worth an attempt to see if there was a solution. I appreciate your suggestions.

To be honest, I was not aware the game was still alive... EQ is as old-school as MMOs get 😉

If I had to guess, it sounds like anti-cheat stuff - if that is something they have changed.

Yeah it’s old but has a strong following. I beta tested it in 1998 as well as the original Diablo. New stuff is in the works from EQ in the near future. As far as anti-cheat it could be a change that was made and has indirectly impacted this. Your software doesn’t violate the terms of service. I will verify if it is replicated on other games this evening.

Dang, we are both old 😉 I beta-tested XBox live myself... 2001, I believe... Dozens of games in the mix there too...

I don't suspect any will but it would be telling if it did - making me inclined to think its another 3rd party software causing the issue; perhaps even Discord if you are using it.

I'm having this issue too but only on the EQ Test server. Live server it's working fine. So this is definitely a change the game is making. It could have something to do with the 64bit on test or new anti-cheat measures so people are actually using 2 mouse/keyboards for truebox servers.

began after 64bit patch on everquest..

Anything you guys can do to fix this?

Came here seeking help for the same issue. Its worked great for years. Near unusable if the Primary always gets the mouse input from other computers.

I dont expect much help on that end. Probably considered use of third party software in an unsanctioned way.

Strange that its only the Primary that holds onto the inputs? If it were something with the EQ program itself shouldnt all computers get the input no matter where your cursor is? For example, in seamless mode, Primary is #1. So from computer #2 im sending mouse input to #1 and #2. But from computer #3, im sending mouse input to #1 and #3.

From what we can gather, this is all new with the 64-bit version of EQ.

While we are looking into it, the best workaround would be to not have the game have focus (or minimized) when working on the Secondary.

Thank you, Stardock really does have incredible interactivity and support. I dont know if im allowed to post outside links, but it may help in your investigation. This software acts as a work around. If you run this, you no longer have the input problems on the Primary computer.

Run this program, it changes a setting on your computer to have the mouse focus on whatever you are mouse over (focus follows mouse). It doesn't need to be running or installed, it just changes some settings in windows.

trying the mouseX, seems to work ok if primary game is in window mode but not when I go full screen. Game minimizes on full screen when i switch to a secondary?

Yep. I think i had been on Test when this first happened. The mouseX seems to be a good workaround (have to leave primary in windows mode).
