Woke up this morning and (fortunately) one of my security details caught a Ransomware attack in a Stardock update attempt.
The Ransomware shut down Malwarebytes, but Acronis stopped it from continuing.
I think it is likely to be a false positive.
There was an update for ObjectDesktop Manager I think which would have replaced some files and could in theory make a fairly simplistic ransomware detector think files were being modified (vs updating them).
Yessir all seems to be fine. False alarm. I guess. No reason why Malwarebytes shut down in the system log.
Just one of those strange things that happen. I'm running a Windows 10 Insider build too. Dunno.
