Why close the forum?, there are lots of good ideas!
As a developer myself, a lot of tiresome work goes into any quality product that's useful for a large community. Fences has personally restored my desktop sanity - making it easier to function in a Windows environment that hasn't changed much from Win95. (Briefcase anybody?)
Rock on Jeff B! You do you at your speed. I'm sure V4 will be ready when it's ready.
But for now, thank you for V3! It does the job.
Maybe because it gets very disheartening to see all these ideas and the thread open for over a year and no comment on whether there's even going to be a V4, are they even developing it at the moment, or is this just a thread of ideas in case they ever decide at some time years in the future to make a V4?
I'm more than happy to contribute ideas and suggestions, but when devs cannot be bothered to give any info after over a year, then it becomes very much a case of why bother and it also gives a rather negative impression of Stardock and their customer interests.
Edit... In my 50's and been involved in a lot of closed start ups, alphas, betas and been messing about with programming since the late 80's and I'm a cobol programmer, so I do understand how these things go, it just seriously needs feedback from Stardock as to what on earth is going on.
