I am cleaning up my gaming collection and I am wondering if I should play Gal Civ 2 campaigns. I already have the game (ultimate edition).
In the past, I played Gal Civ 1 campaigns (2/3 done) and I found them to be not so interesting. Besides the initial text, there was not so much flavor in the mission. Also, I was not hyped by the missions themselves. A sandbox game would have been more interesting.
Eventually, I will play Gal Civ 3 campaigns. Before doing that, I was wondering if I should play Gal Civ 2 :
- is the story captivating or is it just opening texts and small cutscenes?
- are the missions heavily weighted toward a specific strategy ?
- do you feel playing Gal Civ 2 would add to my experience playing Gal Civ 3 ?
I know that a part of that answer is just to try the game, but I know that a campaign can have a slow beginning. I would not like to play half of the campaign missions before realizing it's just not for me.
