Well, just got the March issue. I actually remember the OS/2 days and all that talk about the multi-threading in Galactic Civilizations. That was back when I felt like I was playing with real computing power while everyone else was just piddling around in Windows 3.1. Those were fun times.
With any luck maybe this new CPU from AMD will inspire Intel to up the core count in their consumer line a bit more. Seems like it has been stuck at 4 cores for way too long. Unless you want to shell out double or triple the money.
By the way, I actually tried installing OS/2 a while back in Vitualbox. Took me about 6 hours to hunt down the right patches and drivers to finally get it to work. Then I realized it isn't nearly as impressive as I remembered it being during the 90s, but it was pretty cool to reminisce.
