Being sick and bored, not feeling like doing things i should be doing, decided to update this thread with list of shows i watched during 2016....
X-Files 2016 - it was terrible, bar maybe 1 or 2 episodes? Which were actually passable cause of the comical relief? Seriously, i was looking forward to it, this time around a year ago, and could not be more disappointed
12 Monkeys - 2nd Season - 1st season was IMO promising, but the second kinda turned to crap. Moved away from the initial premise of saving the world from plague via means of time-travel to some more sci-fish and grandiose things... and it did it no good IMO. Too bad, really liked it last year. Some shows just feel like they are developed as they go, there is no master-plan where its all supposed to lead and this feels exactly like one of them.
Vikings - 4th season - it started quite well, but was mostly boring IMO overall. Time for it to end - which seems to be happening. One has to compare to GoT, because of similar setting, although clearly Vikings are more grounded in reality - bottom line, GoT is far superior show.
Game of Thrones - 6th season - probably best season of the show from the initial one. Finally got some answers and conclusions, not to mention it kinda got some surprising sci-fi aspects. The final episode was awesome, another Red Wedding moment... definitely worth watching.
Dark Matter - 2nd season - was not IMO as good as initial season, too many filler episodes. It was at its best at the start and at the end - which ultimately makes me want to see whats next. Still, slight disappointment, hopefully it improves with another season.
Killjoys - 2nd season - in contrast to DM, it got better. Actually prefered this one this time around. Had some serious plot development, which i liked. And good music, which is nowhere to be found to download, WTF!
Last Ship - 3rd season - as expected, in line with previous 2 seasons. I prefered second season though. This had quite a nice conspiracy plot though with a fairly OK ending. Could not be more patriotic.
11.22.63 - show about time travel and JKF assasination. So far watched 4 out of 8 initial episodes, so not going to judge yet.
Ascension - only 6 episodes, but quite interesting plot about journey to Alpha Centauri with a massive twist already on the second episode. I quite liked it and its sad there is not going to be more, as this one actually deserved it more than many other shows.
Designated Survivor - 1st season - had its weak moments and its not exactly believable, but has some nice conspiracy plot, which ended currently with massive midseason finale cliffhanger and i am looking forward to see more of it.
Stranger Things - quite a pleasant surprise. Usually not a fan of shows with children, but i liked this one. Not overly original, but otherwise okayish plot, great cinematography and music, good pacing IMO. Looking forward to next season.
Sense 8 - only watched 4 episodes so far, so wont comment. Its about 8 people around the world who find out to be connected.
OA - only started to watch, saw 2 episodes so far. Its about a blind girl, who was missing for 7 years, then it returns and can see... while it has clearly some supernatural aspects, the reasons behind her going missing seem to be quite more down to earth... i feel i am gonna like it overall, probably moreso than Sense 8, although its less scifish.
Westworld - it had clearly high production values, interesting backstory, good acting, etc.. but i think, its kinda overrated. I like shows with mysteries, which keep you guessing, whats going to happen next or what was meaning of this or that - this clearly was one of them, which is good. But it done it in quite a shit manner, but following several storylines, happening at different times, although without clearly stating it - its not really that hard to create a puzzle under such conditions. Whats hard, is not make it all confusing, which it was at times. Meanwhile, the main premise or premises was pretty simple in nature.
Thats it... anyone watched any of this and if yes, whats your opinion on it?
