Economy Rebalance v0.1 (Beta v0.95)
This is a complete overhaul of how the economy function in GalCiv and lot's of focus has been made to make the AI able to use it properly. It has actually made the AI more powerful and competitive from my experiences so far.
The basic focus of the mod has been to increase the importance of colony management and reduce the importance of focusing your population into one single area. It will still be important to create focused worlds but not to the same extent as before. The positive effect of this is that the AI becomes much more able to create a strong economy on their worlds.
I have only change values for how improvement and some planetary feature work and I should have incorporated most of the alien improvement as well as the standard ones. There are still allot of balancing to be done and will be done once the game is released.
The basic foundation is that all standard buildings such as Manufacturing, Research and Wealth buildings will produce a small amount of RAW production and a small percentage bonus. In addition to this all buildings will give two levels to ONE other type of building.
Manufacturing give +2 Wealth
Wealth give +2 Population
Population give +2 Tourism
Tourism give +2 Approval
Approval give +2 Influence
Influence give +2 Military
Military give +2 Research
Research give +2 Manufacturing
These bonuses is in addition to still giving +1 to the same type. There are some other changes done as well and the above are only a general idea of what I have done.
If you like to try then please download the two files and place them in your Galactic Civilization III/data/game folder. Make a back up of the original files first or just go to Steam and verify integrity of game cache if you want the original files back.
I will intend to add some other feature to this mod in the future.
