BUG: Latest SDC Doesn't Run

Just tried to login using SDC and it went through its typical update but now the program crashes before it even sets up completely. ie. it starts to run then crashes to desktop before finishing.

I was running the latest version prior to todays update and have made no changes to my system since then.


HELP!

Yeah, had that too when I updated to the latest version. Was wondering whether it is unique to me.

Tried deleting the .ini files in the discussion folder but no go.

I uninstalled SDC and reinstalled the version under the downloads page and got 1.12. :)

had problem with update too. now cant use discussion boards. just crashes back to w/top. sent email to support :(

Just did, as CariElf suggested, and got the SDC install off the download page and installed over the original install.

Ran it and it auto-installed the updates ok this time.

The only thing I did differently was that this time I didn't let the program restart itself. I said "no" and then closed it and reran it myself.

All is well now. Got GalCiv 1.12 ;)

I still have to run sdcentral.exe directly instead of the loader.exe. If I run loader.exe it reports that I need Windows 2000, XP, 98 or higher (which is interesting since I'm running 2000 sp3).
